TASK 8: Interview your mentor on the roles and responsibilities of a teacher

Planning	How do you plan your lessons? Do you differentiate your plans? Do you plan weekly or daily? Do you plan individually or in a group?	We make use of a lesson plan template, and together with the co-teacher. Yes, we have high group, middle high, middle low and low. Weekly. We plan peer group, but also we plan for individuals with extra needs.
Pastoral	How often do you meet parents? What does your pastoral work involve?	It depends.
Professional Development	What PD do you do?  How often do you have PD?	We have 3 times a week PD from 1pm to 2pm. It is school related to improve classroom practice and the school, and sometimes we get people from different companies to share new ideas with us.
Class Management	What do you need to manage your class? How do you manage your class?  Do you have any problems with class management?  Which classroom rules do you use? Why?	You need to well organized and have a good management plan in place. No we don’t have classroom management problems because we have a good plan in action. They must raise their hand before they talk. Look at my teacher, I keep my hands to myself I listen when others speak. And the robot discipline plan helps to keep the children in order.
Teaching Strategies	What is your favorite teaching strategy? What important strategies should we follow?	Creativity, collaboration, critical thinking to lead children to think creative and work together.
